Approved by the Saudi Ministry of Education in 2020, Saudi TESOL is an academic association established under the title of the “Saudi Association for English Language Education” and based at the English Language Institute at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It operates within the established unified bylaws set for academic associations by the Ministry of Education. Saudi TESOL aims to be a groundbreaking force nationally and beyond and bring together English language teaching professionals in Saudi Arabia and from wider afield to promote excellence in language teaching in both general and higher education through stimulating ELT professional development and inspiring research activities. The Association also seeks to enhance the glocalization of best practices in the field and foster meaningful communication and fruitful collaboration among its members to markedly improve the quality of English language teaching outcomes and program leadership across the country.
